We were delighted and honoured to host several remarkable transformational leaders at The Sentinel yesterday.
Swami Lalitananda and Swami Samayananda from our neighbours across the lake, Yasodhara Ashram, were joined by Karen McAllister, Board Chair of Clear Sky Retreat Centre (located near Cranbrook), and network-weaving Executive Director of the Holistic Centres Network, Christine Lines for an afternoon and evening of conversation and sharing — of experiences, ideas, inspiration, and yummy food!
We hope this initial, informal gathering will lead to concrete collaboration between our respective organizations, and eventually other centres in our region — and on our planet .
While each of our centres is unique, we share a commonly held, passionate commitment to be of transformational service, to our neighbours, and to humanity and our planet generally.
We all agreed there is something very special about our beautiful corner of the world, and that in these troubled, chaotic times, it’s crucially important that we provide light in the darkness, places and programs that allow people to nourish and recharge their souls.
Many thanks to our guests for gracing us with their presence.
