LODGE
Walking into the Lodge at The Sentinel is a unique experience
Cozy up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea on a chilly day, or stretch out on the patio in the sun, the Lodge offers guests the feeling of a family room away from home. A wood stove, eclectic library, tea/coffee station, comfortable furniture and an art collection curated by founders Gillian and Richard themselves makes our great room a favourite place to gather one’s thoughts, or commune with other guests.
The high A frame windows open up a view to the Purcell mountain range that never gets old. Overlooking Kootenay Lake, you’ll soon appreciate the serenity that our remote location provides.
MALOCA
A communal place to gather. Our beautiful timber framed roundhouse, the Maloca is a sacred temple in which sacred space is created by all who work within. Retreat facilitators and guests alike are welcome to experience the transformative energy of the Maloca. We can host groups of up to 40 with a variety of set up options.
Corporate events, yoga, plant medicine, song, dance, contemplation, private therapy – the Maloca will hold space and enhance the experience.
ACCOMMODATION
The guest rooms at The Sentinel allow you to detach from the business of life and relax. The first impression is one of simplicity and elegance and we keep things simple on purpose. A beautifully appointed bed, heated tile floors in the en suite bathrooms, a desk, a closet for your things and a view to take your breath away.
The majority of our rooms can be configured with two single beds or one king, perfect for two people. Three rooms are designated for guests traveling with their four legged companions. Speaking with our Guest Services team will help you choose which room will suit your needs, and budget accordingly.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Our food is amazing. Intentionally created with love and a deep understanding of the importance of nourishment for the body and soul. Any and all food preferences are welcome and the meals are a culinary experience.
Our Sentinel Signature Breakfast is a feast for the eye and pallet. Unique oats created by co-founder Richard Kay are served alongside fresh croissants, granola, yogourt, chia pudding, an egg creation changing daily and an endless array of whatever our garden or the season provides. Reservations for breakfast ($25/person) are required.
The Cantina: In the fall of 2023 we look forward to the opening of our Cantina. We have so many beautiful surprises awaiting you! More information to follow!
